About me

My name is Anthony Gizze and I'm a licensed Roofing and Building contractor. I'm also a Realtor and soon to be HVAC and Plumbing contractor. The goal is to work together to achieve our licensing goals!

My Story

If you had asked me years ago where this journey would take me, I honestly wouldn't have known. Like many people in the construction industry, I simply loved building things and wanted to create a better future for myself and my family. I wasn't chasing titles or recognition—I was chasing opportunity. I believed construction was an industry where hard work, integrity, and perseverance could truly change someone's life, and I was determined to prove that to myself.

That journey, however, was anything but easy.

There were many moments where I questioned whether I would ever achieve my goals. I failed contractor exams more than once. I experienced disappointment, frustration, and countless late nights studying while wondering if all the effort would ever pay off. Then COVID changed everything. Testing centers across Florida closed, exam dates were canceled, and the uncertainty made an already difficult process feel almost impossible. While the world seemed to be standing still, I refused to stop moving forward. Every setback became another reason to study harder, prepare better, and keep believing that persistence would eventually win.

When I finally earned my Florida contractor licenses, it wasn't because I was the smartest person in the room. It wasn't because everything came naturally to me. It was because I simply refused to quit. Looking back, I'm grateful for every failed exam, every obstacle, and every season of uncertainty because those experiences taught me something that no textbook ever could—success isn't reserved for people who never fail; it's earned by the people who keep getting back up.

Receiving my licenses was a tremendous milestone, but I quickly learned that earning a license and building a successful construction company are two very different challenges. As I continued growing Gizze Construction, I discovered that every project came with new lessons. There were difficult clients, unexpected jobsite issues, permitting delays, scheduling conflicts, financial decisions, and countless problems that had to be solved. Construction has a unique way of testing you every single day. It forces you to become a better communicator, a better leader, and a better businessman. Some of my greatest lessons came from projects that didn't go according to plan, and I'm thankful for those experiences because they shaped the contractor I am today.

Over the years, my passion for construction has only grown stronger. The more I learned, the more I realized how much there still was to learn. That realization didn't discourage me—it inspired me. I became committed to continuously improving myself, earning additional contractor licenses, expanding my knowledge across multiple trades, and becoming the most well-rounded construction professional I could be. I truly believe that learning never stops, especially in an industry that constantly evolves with new building codes, technologies, materials, and business practices.

Today, my focus extends beyond remodeling and construction projects. I'm actively working toward developing and building investment properties while continuing to expand my businesses and pursue additional licenses. My long-term vision isn't simply to complete projects; it's to spend the next thirty years contributing to the construction industry that has given me so much. I want to build homes, commercial buildings, developments, businesses, and, most importantly, people.

That passion is ultimately what led me to create Elite Contractor Coaching.

Throughout my own journey, I realized there are countless talented tradesmen and women who possess the skills to become incredible contractors but simply don't know where to start. Many are intimidated by the licensing process. Others have failed exams and lost confidence. Some have spent years putting off their dreams because they believe they're not smart enough or that it's too late. I understand those feelings because I've lived them. I know what it's like to fail an exam, to question yourself, and to wonder whether all the studying is worth it.

My goal isn't simply to help people pass a test. My goal is to help them build a future.

I want to help contractors understand that obtaining a license is about much more than earning a credential from the State of Florida. It's about creating opportunities that may never have existed before. It's about building businesses, creating jobs, serving clients with integrity, supporting your family, and leaving a legacy that lasts far beyond any single construction project.

If my story teaches anything, I hope it's this: your current situation does not define your future. Failure is not permanent unless you decide to quit. Every obstacle you overcome becomes part of your testimony, and every difficult season prepares you for opportunities you cannot yet see.

As I continue growing, earning new licenses, developing properties, and building businesses, I remain a student first. I believe the greatest leaders are lifelong learners, and I intend to keep learning every day for the rest of my career.

Thank you for taking the time to learn a little about my story. Whether you're here because you're pursuing your first contractor license, looking to grow your business, or simply searching for encouragement, I hope you leave this website believing something I had to learn for myself:

Hard work pays off. Persistence changes lives. And the future belongs to those who refuse to quit.

I look forward to helping you build yours.
